Supporting wellbeing in our community

Based in Tallaght Village Green, we work with adults and young people n in our local area. We provide individual counselling, psychotherapy and a range of creative therapies supporting those experiencing anxiety, low mood, grief, stress, and life transitions in a calm, non-judgemental space.

Our approach is to integrate talk therapy with expressive modalities: drawing, painting, movement, collage, sound, and imaginative play. No artistic skill is required—only openness.

Although you may work one-to-one with a particular therapist, you are supported by the experience and care of the whole DATC Counselling and Creative Therapy team under the leadership of our Clinical Manager. We regularly reflect on our practice and stay connected so that your therapy is thoughtful, safe and well held.

  • Regular supervision: All therapists attend ongoing clinical supervision where they can carefully think through their work and ensure you are receiving safe, ethical support.
  • Ongoing training: Our team members are committed to continuous professional development, including up-to-date approaches in trauma, attachment, neurodiversity and creative therapies.
  • Collaborative thinking: With your consent and maintaining your confidentiality, therapists may consult with trusted colleagues or supervisors to consider how best to support you.
  • Trauma-informed and inclusive: We aim to offer a space that is sensitive to trauma, welcoming of difference, and respectful of your culture, identity, background and lived experience.

Whether you come to us for talking therapy, art therapy, or a blend of both, you can expect a grounded, compassionate approach that recognises the whole of you, not just the difficulties you are facing.

Trainee therapists

Alongside fully qualified therapists, we also offers sessions with carefully selected trainee therapists who are in the later stages of recognised counselling, psychotherapy or art therapy training. Trainees bring enthusiasm, curiosity and up-to-date learning, and they work within the same ethical framework as the rest of the team.

All trainee therapists receive close supervision from experienced practitioners, and their work is regularly reviewed to help ensure your safety and wellbeing. Sessions with trainees are offered at a reduced fee, making therapy more accessible while still providing a reliable, supportive space.
